Where I come from?
My name is Dejan and I come from Slovenia, a tiny country in the middle of Europe.
I live in Maribor, a very old city in the north-east of Slovenia.
What do I do?
I take pictures or compose - if I may say -
component parts of scenes into a story or a pleasant melody,
to fit into the aesthetics of beauty.
The light itself is the one which can do all this. I listen to it, absorb myself into somethng new and bring a scene to a halt, in order to preserve it, so that it would never cease to exist.
Who for?
For all of you, who love, appreciate and admire nature or you do not have the opportunity to see the wonderful unrepeatable moments from different places and from different perspectives. When there is light, little light, no light. When the nature reveals power, wisdom, love and generosity hidden in it. When a phonomenon exceeds our understanding of events that are ahead of us.
Why?
When I realized that a scene had escaped from me and that I found it hard to recall it, I grabbed a device that can do it, and which will do what I want it to do. Of course, it is important to preserve the dignity of the living thing in front of the lens. Our eye is still the best "device" to perceive the world around us and connects us to the Invisible whom we will never be able to see.
